Altona's First Concentrate Production at the Outokumpu Project

Altona Mining Limited (ASX: AOH) announced that the first copper concentrate has been produced at the Outokumpu Project in Finland.

Altona’s Managing Director, Dr Alistair Cowden said, “We are now a producer! I am very proud of the team in Finland. To reach first production seven months after starting plant refurbishment is a great achievement. This is a significant milestone for the project following closely after achieving first production from the Kylylahti Mine”.

At Outokumpu Project concentrate grades have ramped up to the design grade of 24% copper. The concentrate is clean with no penalty elements.

Altona is expecting its first shipment to New Boliden’s Harjavalta smelter in south-western Finland this month, resulting in the first revenues being received in March.
